Choosing the Right Toilet Seat

Choosing the Right Toilet Seat (ARA) - Did you read that headline and think to yourself "how hard is it to pick a toilet seat"? If you haven't shopped for one recently, you will be surprised at how many options you have.

Choosing the right toilet seat for you and your family is just as important as selecting the correct toilet. A thoughtfully designed toilet seat with the appropriate functionality and design features can greatly improve your comfort and satisfaction.

Some of the features you may not have considered are toilet seats with built-in bidet features, seats that allow parents and children to use the same toilet comfortably, soft-closing toilet seats to prevent slamming, easily removable seats for better cleaning, and designer models that mesh with your bathroom décor.

Slamming toilet lids can be not only annoying, but dangerous, especially for small children. To alleviate the problem, Kohler created the Cachet Quiet-Close toilet seat for softer, quieter closing. The toilet seat is engineered to close slowly with the slightest touch. In addition to being convenient, the one-touch feature means you only need to make minimal contact with the seat or lid to close it. The Cachet seat also features quick release hinges that enable you to swiftly remove the entire toilet seat without using tools for complete cleaning.

Parents with young children know that sitting on an adult-size toilet seat can be scary for kids. But dealing with potty chairs or adapter seats can be messy and inconvenient. The Kohler Transitions toilet seat is the perfect solution. The child's seat, which allows the child to sit further forward in a more comfortable position, is nestled inside the adult seat. When adults need to use the toilet, all they have to do is lift the child seat up to the same position as the lid to reveal a seat opening perfectly suited for them. The Transitions seat also uses Quiet-Close technology so children can use it without parents worrying about pinched fingers.

Another addition to the Kohler line is a European-influenced design featuring bidet functionality. The water-based cleansing of a bidet offers increased comfort and overall wellness that is not found in using toilet tissue alone. The new Kohler C3 toilet seat incorporates hygienic bidet features right into the seat; it is available in two models, one which offers convenient remote control and an in-line heater and another that uses a side control panel and provides a built-in tank heater to supply warm water. You simply choose one of two extending wands to receive gentle, personalized cleansing. The back wand is designed for use by the whole family, while the front wand is designed for the needs of women and offers softer water delivery. The wands are constructed of anti-microbial material and undergo a self-cleaning process before and after use to ensure complete hygienic performance. Both models come with a bowl-illuminating light for nighttime trips to the bathroom.

If you want a toilet seat that will be the centerpiece of your bathroom, Kohler's designer toilet seats provide you with many options. The designer seats are available in an array of colorful and expressive designs and are offered in Asian, classic floral and whimsical design themes.

Choosing a toilet seat is a personal decision, but it's nice to know you have many options.
